4. HOME ECONOMICS
Essential skills that you have to be able to do on your own to successfully live alone.
Take care of your health
Do annual dental and medical checks to make sure everything is fine. When you feel like you’re getting sick, take precautionary measures.
Maintenance of the house
Clean your home regularly and make sure everything is functioning properly. А fresh and tidy home is a hospitable one.
Do your laundry
If you don’t wash your clothes, you won’t have what to wear. You will run out of clothes if you don’t do this regularly. For example, plan Saturday to be your laundry day. You are going to miss the time when your mother did this for you.
Maintain proper nutrition
You will have to do everything you took for granted before. From buying your groceries to cooking your meals. Your fridge won’t magically fill itself. You can’t just buy from takeaways all the time. Everyone needs warm homemade meals. You can try to make your favourite meals that your mother used to make for you.
Manage your time properly
you are going to have many responsibilities after moving away from home. If you don’t distribute your time correctly, you will have a hard time doing all of your tasks. A good way to do this is by planning when to do different post-move jobs such as paying the bills and doing your grocery shopping.

Testimonials
The CV writing skills class was very informative . It has really enabled me to analyse my own cv and make a few changes which have made a big impact on how it appears and reads . I am certain that these changes will catch the eye of employers and recruitment consultants . I would definately recommend it to others .
Teresa NduruAudio Testimonial
I really enjoyed last week’s session on CV writing and being able to learn some skills on applying my previous work experiences to be able to acquire a job. The facilitator deepened my understanding on what qualities and experience employers are looking for and how to tailor my experience to be successful in an application. CV structure is something that I never had pinned down and now I feel that this session aided my future CV layout and look. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to further get advice on how to get their career started or looking to freshen up their CV for a new start.
